I still have a bunch of your Legion kids designs, and was just talking to Charlie about how much I was looking at the old project. Some good stuff in there, does the future have room for it? Whatever, I had a lot of fun building characters around those pictures. As for Batwoman, I can't wait to see what Brian has in store for her now. Great update to her design, though I miss the yellow. Still, this is sleek, kicking ass for Babs Take care Don

Oh, it's Babs?
I may have introduced a new Batwoman in the Kane Kane red in the last Inc. issue. A Gotham-based Batwoman.
Figured the red and yellow costumes would be a good way of telling them apart.

Sneak peek time. The all-new DC2 Batwoman... Im a fan! But ive always thought of babs with yellow not red as her secondary colour-guess thats down to kate kane!! Lovely sleek lines here! Reminds me of the story of kate kanes current batwoman costume origin-it was originally designed for babs return to the cowl! I will miss seeing babs ginger hair-but actually it would clash too much with the red anyway. Nice contrast all round. Love it!

I definitely intend on returning to Earth 2 as soon as I have a chance. I'd really enjoy dusting off those concepts and giving them another look with you sir.

Sounds most excellent, let me know if and when you do. I was very tentatively considering the notion of bringing the concepts over to Earth-One just to have a LSH series here and finish off the Mon-El story I started WAAAYYY back in JL, but keeping it at Earth-Two would be appropriate too if there's interest with others. And your interest, well that's exciting!
Oh, and just as a note to others, Jamie did some designs on those characters too and he rocked a bunch of them too.
Take care Don

Should we start a 'What's New In The DC2'? A preview for new characters and designs like DC has been doing? Wondering out loud here.

I have no problem retro-ing Barbara's transformation to Batwoman at all!

I'd really prefer to see Babs remain Batwoman if it can be worked out at all. The woman deserves the title after all, just in general, and specifically on Earth-One, there's none better. Maybe Kate can be Batgirl Take care Don

Oh, no, Babs has definitely earned her place as the DC2 Batwoman. But if there are multiple Batmen, why not multiple Batwomen?
Kate Kane coming in was just because I didn't want to take on Bab's story (it had been left with a cliffhanger that deserved a closure) but needed more female characters in Incorporated.
Wasn't too worried about confusion - Babs is in Las Vegas with the New Outsiders, Kate in Gotham, and there was the yellow and red distinction.
Is that an issue? Likewise I'm not wanting to keep anyone from the stories they want to tell.

Not at all. Though you know there's a opportunity for a wonderful cross-over between the two batwomen.

Well, ultimately it's up to you guys to figure this all out, and Brian's so very accommodating, I suspect it won't be a problem to have the two of them using the name. But personally, I just like characters to have unique identities. Green Lanterns get a pass because they're more a professional unit who rarely us "The Green Lantern" as an alias anymore anyway, while Flashes get a pass from me out of the grandfather clause, I guess. I mean, it's generational so there it's very easy to distinguish the two, and it's an active legacy passing down the line, with Jay more "Mr. Garrick" or "Jay" rather than "Flash" anyway. But I'm not a fan of multiple Batmen at a time. Different takes on the name like in the current DC comics is cool enough, but I'd hate to see two or more Batmen running around (honestly, I'm not a fan of Batman, Inc. but then, I'm old and cranky, and set in my ways more than I think it's a bad idea). It's why I prefer to call her Zenobia in Birds of Prey, and reference her Wonder Woman mantle only occasionally or obliquely; and remained with Hawkgirl when Dave was going to bring a Hawkwoman onto the scene in one of his titles (hope that's not spoiling anything too much, Dave ). I like characters to have their own identities to help refine their personalities. Again though, totally my take, and I'm sure I'm just butting in where my big fat nose doesn't belong, so I'll bow out and feel assured that you and Brian will settle this rather easily. Take care Don

Ah, I realise we're hijacking the thread a tad (and sorry for that), but I do understand where you're coming from.
What I will say is that I think Incorporated as a concept allows you to tell an awful lot of Batman stories, of all different shades and varieties, getting Batmen of all kinds of genre and context, and that's the big draw for me. Of course, I like the lone Bat too, but that's why I've got 'Year One' style stories planned, looking back to his past while growing his future in Inc.
