Hi again everyone! It took forever to find the time to edit the damn thing, and I gave up on finding art, but if anyone wants to make a cover feel more than welcome. This is it, I'm done with the regular series, and it's been an amazing ride. So let me know what you think, and apologies for jumping in so suddenly after so long.

And somehow, I managed not to copy the climactic scene into the actual post. Act 2 is fixed now. Gr.

I feel shitty because I've mentioned how Fantomas has carried the torch for the site since the big drop off a year or so back, but Gotham Girls was posting month in, month out, and that's a testament to your dedication Sam, so I'm sorry for not highlighting that to everyone on the site every chance I get. The book has been one of the most consistent titles on the site since the grand combination (collision? Don, what say you?) of the two websites way back when, so bravo for that. Thanks for bearing with us dullards.
I'm always dazzled by the strength of the dialogue you write between the characters you've used. I'm afraid I'm at a disadvantage pertaining to the story threads because I've read this issue and none of the ones previous, but the dialogue is so human and so smooth that I'm jealous. That's how I want to write my dialogue, that's how I want my characters to interact, so I'm really jealous (damn you!). When we can make fictional characters feel human, that's when we know we've succeeded-- and excelled past the main continuity titles DC are releasing right now.
I've been hesitant toward the idea of Harley and Ivy being "on the side of angels" but it's something that works here, even if we know they're not entirely altruistic. It's cool in small doses and while I can be both a stickler against and a sucker for "anti-heroes", it's stories like this that prove why I like the characters, and why I like characters such as The Shade, Catman, and quite a few others on the villainous side of things. The humanisation Dini delivered for Ivy and Quinn in his Bat run of recent years was a perfect example of it (apart from the issue where Ivy fed guys to a plant that took ages to digest them, yikes), and one I see being reflected here-- even if Gotham Girls came first! I digress, but yes, great character work, that's what matters to me at the end of the day.
The scenes with Bruce, Ferak and Steph were great (but again, without context, I'm missing out) and the "passing of the torch scene" between Babs and Rennee was perfect, just what the latter both deserved and earned over the course of the series. I remember the earliest issues with Batgirl, it was always a point I wanted to see addressed and here we are!
Thanks again, Sam. After taking a refresher course in Gotham Girls it proves to me that I need to catch up on High School Heroines. YOU'LL BE HEARING FROM ME.

Aw, thanks, Charlie I hope you feel like going back because I'd love to see if the story threads came together for someone who had read them, lol. dialogue is one of my prouder skills so I"m really glad to hear it gets noticed.

It's on my list to get back to (along with some Earth-A stuff and all the books I purchased over the last few months but never read, sob sob sob) so I shall do just that when I'm able to get it done!
