An intriguing issue, throwing you face first into the ongoing tale of this Wonder Woman! To be honest, I've not kept up in any way with the events of the DC2/multiverse for the past year or so, so I'm worried I'm going to be confused or thrown by events I read, but this was highly accessible, hinting at enough events to provide a history and context to the characters, but also taunting me to read the earlier issues (well played).
I'm intrigued by the events of this issue-- Diana is very eager to please, isn't she?-- and I loved the nods to Lovecraft-- they just work with the WW mythos-- and the characters were all very individualised, rather than falling into the trap of wildly different characters sharing the same narrative voice that sometimes books suffer from (that's not a slight against you both, that's me thinking out loud). I guess it helps that half the cast is stepped in the mythic quality that allows for verbose speeches but at the same time the other half are very grounded.
Anyway, I'm digressing wildly; I'm excited as to where the story will go next, and never has "Transcendent Peaks" sounded so foreboding! I adore stories told in the snow, especially when there are hints of madness... mountains... you know how it goes. I might have to do some research! Great work, Don and Sam!

Thanks for reading and the kind words, Charlie. It was fun working this issue up when we did, and the second part is ready (or nearly ready) to go, and after that...who knows, maybe more issues might come out.
Yeah, our Diana's a bit younger, more exuberant, and eager to get in on the adventures like her mother always told her about; a chance to go questing after Nazis is too good to pass up. I love snowbound tales too, and the Antarctic is such a fierce opponent all on its own. Hopefully we can make the mountains as terrifying and surreal as they should be in part two.
Hope to see you back then
Take care Don

...a chance to go questing after Nazis is too good to pass up. Yes! I meant to quote the line about Diana's mother having the opportunity to fight Nazis and Diana having one too, perfection!
