Sorry for taking so long to get to those. Been playing catchup the last couple days.
Roy's got his hands full leading this team of fiesty youth. There's no one wildcard, like he thinks; they're all wildcards. Including him.
So the alien menace is Thanagarian. Interesting tying it in with JL Technology.
Risk's Rannian background is even more interesting!

Sorry for taking so long to get to those. Been playing catchup the last couple days. I'm just glad you took the time to read and respond, Jay. Thanks for that! You noticed that, huh? Yeah, they all seem to be a bit more disfunctional than there East Coast counter-parts. ;D glad you find that all interesting, since it will be the main plot for this mini. I layed a couple of small seeds back in the Teen Titans annual that I'm now letting grow. Thanks again!

Not your strongest writing here, I'm sorry to say, Brian. Still and all, a good story, but there seems to be a spark lacking, I think. Part of it, maybe, comes from the fact that the strongest characters (Hawk, Risk and Speedy) are all coming off as rather disagreeable. I could care less about them and their successes, honestly. And the others haven't really gotten a chance to step out from the hotheads' shadows. The story is also still kind of muddled and hidden, halfway through the mini-series, so I'm still waiting to understand the stakes here. On the other hand, the action is fun, Aqualad gets to be cool (I'm always a big fan of Garth getting his time in the limelight) and fighting kaiju is always entertaining, no matter the reason Where does all this lead? I'm still interested in learning that, so the work is done, and I'll be back for issue three. Take care Don
