Good mixture of humor and suspense. As a fan of Waverider I'm glad to see him. Still have no idea what's going on, but that's only to be expected. Too bad the Doctor can't show up and sort this all out.

This is gonna be one of the more fun series on this site, I can tell.
Booster is always funny, and the guest star time travelers are also interesting. Plus, Skeets is probably possessed...but by who? Hopefully not Mr. Mind again. That fairly recent old chestnut doesn't need to be dusted off.
Also, "Where we're going, we don't NEED roads!" was priceless.

I'm not sure why, but this issue left me flat. I can tell that we're continuing to try and build mystery and tension, but for some reason, it just seemed to be a slow, talky, uneven piece of fiction, unable to decide whether to be mystery or action or comedy. The humor seemed more forced this time out, and overall I was left wanting more, but not in the good way. It reminded me a lot about how several modern comics writers decompress their stories, and end up with four to six part stories that should have been done in fewer issues and so we get whole segments that exist only to pad out the TPB page count.
Sorry to be negative about this. Maybe next issue will perk things up for me.
Take care Don

I will promise you something that I don't think is a spoiler... Skeets is NOT possessed and Mr. Mind will NOT be making any important appearances any time soon. The situation with Skeets is different that what happened in DC's "52" and a lot less sinister, however there's a few Skeets related surprises coming.

Sorry to be negative about this. Maybe next issue will perk things up for me. Take care Don Hey Don, First off, don't apologize... I don't see you as being negative, just honest about how you feel about this issue. I have no problem with that. I can see how you might feel tis issue was very "Bendish" and wordy. There are a lot of twists and mysteries involved in this title and I feel that unless I give the proper build up and explanation, some of the future events and reveals will seem to come right out of left field. I'll admit I might be over doing it to a point, but I'd rather make sure I'm giving the readers the full story than cut it down to make it neat and quick. The book actually is supposed to be all three of what you thought it couldn't make up it's mind to be. I would describe the book as a mystery time travel romp with action and comedy. I see no reason to limit it to one or the other. I have a number of little twists and turns that I'm hoping readers will react favorablly to, and want to make the ride as fun as possible. i'll admit I'm a "mythology" guy who likes books that tie many facets together. The simplest of scenes in a book might turn out to be majorly important five issues later. Hey, I appreciate your honesty. I hope the next few issues are more to your liking. I'm glad you intend to give issue #3 a try!

I'm not a huge fan of Rip and the time stream stuff, but I do have to say that I enjoyed this immensely and very much enjoyed your interpretation of Booster. I have to admit that I felt that some of the humor was a bit forced, as well, but on a whole, it was a good continuation to the story. but what is up with Skeets? ?? Cover was awesome as well. all in all, 4 stars for a good solid story. OH, and I liked the last line, but then again, I'm a sap for any pop culture reference.

Yes, this issue was talky, but it was IMPORTANT talky. I'm curious as to where it's all going, to be sure, and how long it'll take to get there, especially without roads. ;D

I agree with some to the feedback already left on this issue. It did seem to drag a bit in the beginning but it picked up toward the end.
I don't see any problem with an entire issue thats talkie. A comparison to Bendis isn't a bad one in my opinion. And the decompression debate is mostly irrelevant here since issues aren't padded to make more money on a TPB.
As for the particulars of this issue, I enjoyed the various time travel characters come together, especially Walker Gabriel who's own DC series was never given a chance. I liked the BTTF reference as well.
A major complaint I had was when you were trying too hard to point out something odd with Skeets. All though it is hard, its usually better to plant the seeds for future plot twists and let them grow. Some readers might miss them but thats OK because the pay off is usually bigger when things aren't pointed out to the reader. Kind of like if your watching a movie with someone who's already seen it and says something like, "Hey, play close attention, that could be important later."
Despite a few missteps it seems like this series is starting to move along quiet nicely. The writing is pretty good and the characters voices are starting to emerge. I look forward to seeing what happens next.
Of course I have to mention that I loved the cover Sylvain! You are a talented artist and your characters pics seem to jump right off the screen!

As I said before, I was never a huge Booster Gold fan, but I am really enjoying this series so far. I think the arguement with Skeets and Booster towards the end was hysterical. The "secret Files" section was nicely done with some mystery building parts (although I will admit I expected and wanted to see pictures going along with those files). The characters all have their own personality which is big with me. Skeets sounds almost like V.I.N.C.E.N.T. from the Black Hole in my head. The use of some secondary characters in this (Jonah Hex and Blue Beetle in the first issue, and Waverider and the 2nd Chronos in this one) has been a fun part of this series so far. The last line of the issue was great. The cover, with the two Boosters facing off was well done also.
