Very nicely written excursion into Eric's not nice mind. I think the bits about him communing with the computers are powerful and intriguing; I really could imagine his powers and how they worked without it being too Matrix-y. It came across very clearly that he also read people - tones of voice, body language - carefully, but was himself removed from feeling, so his narcissism came through. That characterization's hard to do without hitting the reader on the head with it, so that was skillfully executed. The seduction is well done, very sexy - but somehow the parts where he displays his powers with computers showed the deepest engagement of his character. Beautiful writing across the board, kudos to you Jay.
