Finally got a scanner so Im posting some of my hand drawn non-micro artwork. First some old stuff and posting new stuff over time. My stupid mistake was getting an A4 scanner and then realising most of my stuff is draw onto A3 paper but whatever:

A few years back H.G. Wells quickly became one of my favourite authors. Not only of science fiction but in general. Not only were his works definitive and classic and still retaining all of their potency but he and his works were years ahead of their time. When I first read The Island of Doctor Moreau for example (one of my favourites by him) I could literally picture these twisted horrific forms that had been twisted and sewn and stitched together by their created. I had an image in my mind of these already deformed beast who over time only continued to descend back into even more bestial shapes and behaviours. When I saw their portrayal in other mediums and by other artists all I saw were Thundercats: people with some short fur, animal noses and yellow eyes, or in the case of the puma woman...well...she was just a woman. So I took pen to paper and began to sketch the beasts that I saw as described in H.G. Well's the 'Island of Doctor Moreau': First the swine man: (WIP)Next up is the cow man (this time in pen) : Then the Hyena-Swine: (WIP)Then the friendly ape man: And finally the she-bear/wolf hybrid and the pink sloth creature: Hope you enjoyed

Now there was a time I was gonna do the cover for the very first issue of Batman in which Dick had the eponymous role however I had to pass over as too much work piled up college wise and life got in the way but Im glad the cover that they wetn with was used as looking back I dont know how much I like mine. I was trying a new style, but anyway here is my attempt at the cover starring Dick/Batman and Cornelius Stirk:

If there were to be a third Batman film done by Nolan and Bale then I'd cast Michael Emerson as the OCD detective hired by both the GCPD and high ranking crooks alike to deduce the identity of Batman. However his condition leads him down a destructive path he cannot return from. Eventually becoming the mysterious terrorist known as the Riddler. Now it hasnt come out looking like him very well but thats who it was meant to be. If there were to be a third Batman film done by Nolan and Bale then I'd cast Bob Hoskins as crooked nightclub owner and former pupil of Ra's Al Ghul: Oswald Cobblepot (known more commonly by his much detested nickname). If there were to be a third Batman film done by Nolan and Bale then I'd cast Adrian Pasdar as Oswald's business partner and accomplice, Roman Sionis. Roman not only is an admirer of Jonathan Crane's work (going so far as to having a dark obssesion of his own) but also learning the teachings of Ra's Al Ghul as passed down by Cobblepot. Again happy with how this looks

Sorry, Rob! Forgot to comment on this when I saw them over the holidays.
Nice to see you branching out from those micro-heroes. You definitely have talent with a pen, so why have you been hiding it?!? Adrian Pasdar as Sionis is spot-on!
(And I love the LOTR-inspired Wraith of the Crusades! Very evocative!)

Thanks man
If there were to be a third film I would introduce Cobblepot as the man picking up the peices of the criminal underworld in the wake of the 2nd film. Hes crocked no doubt but no one can call him on anything and Sionis is working closely with him. Sionis is young and kinda the 'new Bruce Wayne' and even plays up having a friendship with him for PR though Bruce wont agree to any of the business propositions Sionis keeps putting forward. I would establish Cobblepot as having studied the teachings of Ra's Al Ghul along side the Waynes years ago and when the learnt his real agenda they tried to split. Cobblepot didnt and is now educating Sionis. I dont want to play up Sionis as an underling or niave but an already powerful business man being introduced into this world of Ra's teachings. There would also be suggestions he has studied and admires Crane's work to do with fear and it is known Cobblepot has a colleage named Black Mask who is a tortuerer wearing a gimp mask that works in a meat chiller with an enforcer named Croc. (ala the Joker graphic novel played by Michael Clarke Duncan). This would all be an understory to the whole Riddler thing and at the end you realise Riddler (a truly disturbed individual) has been a pawn of Cobblepot who has been letting him blow stuff up so that Gotham gets 'locked down' effectivly and civilians are shipped away from Gotham so that Maximum Security Measures can be taken (kinda like No Mans Land). It sounds convoluted and espcially when I say it ends with the League of Shadows finally entering Gotham but I wont to write it out as a script and when done so it really is a characte peice. Anyway more art soon

Another WWII propoganda poster based image. Again the text is from an actual poster and image is inspired by Millar and Hitch's Ultimates. Sadly some of the cross hatching was lost in scanning and the contrast editing in Photoshop:

Hey Quester! I really like all your Joker art and the cartoon style Bat-villains are my favorites! The Spidey ones are great too, but I've never been exposed to Marvel outside of the movies. Great work though!
