Solid issue, and a great swerve move on those of us who are entrenched in the DC1 Universe. I expected a retread of Judas Contract. and was extremely pleasantly surprised that the character growth given Terra (notably missing from the DC1) was not ignored, but expounded upon, strengthening the bond of the team, while making the fued with Deathstroke that much more personal.
Well done!

Going to get straight to the point! I enjoyed the first part of this arc, but the conclusion didn't work for me at all.
You've taken what I see as a "set up" for The Judas Contract and just... Gone wild. You made this a sitcom, a family-orientated sitcom, with the Titans all hugging and smiling after Terra revealed she was approached to be a traitor. Terra demanding to be lasso'd? Didn't like that. The "we trust you!" speech when she approached them? Awkward. She was in the Suicide Squad, there shouldn't be automatic trust there, not yet. One of the main problems in my eyes with this arc was the shoehorning of months/issues of character development, relationships, all that stuff, into two issues. You've rushed Terra and it's not worked for me, personally (though I'm sure some people will love it). I would have loved to have seen a more natural progression with the relationships between the Titans, but with Starfire and Terra all chummy last issue, and the automatic trust that should only, in my opinion, be granted to really trusted non-SSers, it didn't click at all for me.
I honestly thought this was pandering to yourself, Jay, making Terra the noble hero when her established character by Wolfman/Perez was nothing of the sort. I like the character (you've actually made me like her, with what you've done over the past few months, and how you showed me her inner-thinkings in that PM you sent) but this was just something that didn't click for me.
I'll be back next issue, because you're writing is as strong as ever, and it was the handling of this situation which was wonky for me. I see this as a blip in your strong tenure as a writer, and I think it was your overeagerness to use Terra in every way shape and form that ruined it.
Sorry to be so negative, but I thought you deserved an honest review.

Oh, I didn't expect you to like it, Charlie. Truth told, I didn't expect you to read it at all.
As for "pandering to myself"? Well, I tend to think that you do that every single issue you write ever, so that doesn't trouble me very much. ;D
Edit: Oh, and Terra wasn't in any way noble here. She did the right thing but for selfish reasons. Like she told Deathstroke, bad and evil are two very different things. She's left evil behind, but is still very bad (as Beast Boy can attest!) You want to see a sweet noble Terra, go look at Resistance. Or, maybe you don't want to.
And yes, I most defnitiely, very deliberately, beat Judas Contract to death with a frying pan.
