The title was the thing that attracted me to this book, and also because it was a Wonder Girl centric arc (or so it seemed). There's this element of Lovecraftian weirdness from your title, so I was coming a-running.
I liked it in parts, you get a really good sense of all the characters, who they are, what they want, etc, and found everyone's characterisation very true to the root/core of their character. There were moments, sure, that I didn't like, and I don't know if it was nothing, but with the Wally/Dagon interaction, you kept switching their thoughts? So at one moment you were writing that Barry had told Wally about something, and then a sentence or so later, Dagon didn't want to scare his friends. It wasn't majorly distracting, and the story was exposition heavy, but I did find it a quick and easy read.
And... And... And...
DID DICK AND KORY DO WHAT I THUNK?!

Waitasecond...... Charlie is reading my stuff?!?Heh. Yeah, this arc is Donna centric, in the sense that Donna is in jeopardy, big time. Don't worry, I won't do anything to her that will affect WW. You know me, I don't do stuff like that. Yeah, I wasn't entirely happy with the changing POVs in the Wally/Dagon scene myself. It is the way it is because I didn't know what else to do with it, without cutting it entirely. Yes, Dick and Kory did indeed do what ya thunk.

Best. Issue. Ever. (More later!) I KNEW IT! David = But I will agree with him. This was my favorite issue of Jay's to date! And that's saying something with the amazing amount of stories he's already given us. However, I am throwing down the gauntlet right now when I say that Dick and Kory may have done the nasty... but I know he was thinking of Barabara the entire time. ;D Excellent issue, my friend!

David thinks..... David thinks this is my best?!?*thud* (Five minutes later) Uh....okay...wow. That's....that's quite something. David and Charlie both praised my work, and indeed the same piece of in-continuity work, the very same issue. I am stunned. Brian, of course, is always in my corner. But I am greatful to him. And his endorsement with the others is another bit of humbling. I wasn't entirely thrilled with this issue, to be honest; I thought it was too short, I thought everybody said some minor variation on "We're worried about Donna but we have to leave it in Raven's hands", during their respective interactions. And Charlie noted the problem with the Wally/Dagon scene. But if David AND Charlie AND Brian ALL like it, I must have done something right, even if I have no freaking clue what it is. And Brian, no wasn't thinking about Babs "the entire time", but as the text itself indicated, she did cross his mind. I think I made a major continuity boo boo though, referring to her as Batgirl rather than Batwoman. You guys just made my day.

LOL!
I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say that this is the best issue of the title so far. Now, admittedly, I haven't read every issue of Teen Titans, but this is the first time I have that every character engaged my interest (including Dagon!). To my mind, Teen Titans has reached a maturity that puts them on a par with the big leagues!
Plus, Dick and Kory got it on and that so rocked!

Ramon cover is ALSO big leagues! Absolutely! Excellent stuff. Being a huge Donna fan, just having her front and center on the cover is good enough, but the way it is presented is haunting. You've really out did yourself with all the covers you've done this week, Ramon. You must be exhausted!

A good solid mood-building tale here. Lots of lurking menace and mystery surrounding Donna and the strange old man, and what a wonderful name "Wickersham Isle". A classic, deserves a round of applause right there.
I love the way the various members interact, I loved the discussion between Tara and Cyborg. Tara's reminding me a lot of Faith, the rogue Slayer from the Buffy series, right now, I even hear the voice coming from her.
Wally's problems with the team changing shape and the newcomers, particularly the vampire, are very neat, and very typical of people in a special group, and I like it. Not hammered home, just dipped into just the right amount, I feel.
Good stuff, solid entry in the series, and I'll be interested in seeing how the story ramps up for the next part.
Take care Don

I'm glad Tara's characterization works for you, Don. It's a iittle disconcerting to hear her described as a character from Buffy, as a) I was never a fan and b) She's supposed to sound like "herself". But I'm glad it works for you.
The tale is indeed inspired by a tale from the pre-Wolfman/Perez early 70s Titans. So that's where that classic vibe is probably coming from. Glad you like!

Can't beleive I forgot to leave a comment. Just awesome stuff. The stuff going on with Donna seems to have a better sense of dread than you normally get from the mainstream DC, that's for sure.
