Good first issue. I look forward to seeing what develops in both the main plot as well as the emotional subplots between the characters.

I really enjoyed this issue, thanks for pointing me towards it from the DC3. As with there, I find your writing style to be an engrossing one which gives detail but compels me to read on- some comics feel a chore to read, but for both issues of yours I've read, I've found myself a little sad when I reach the end of the issue to discover there's no more to read!
I'm not too familiar with Titans history. I'm very familiar with all the Flashes, so I know Wally, but beyond that, literally the name is about all I know for all save Nightwing. (Except Dagan, I didn't even know his name- or indeed, his existence, until now) That said, you did a good job of giving a brief crash course in the basic relationships on the team as well as a snippet on who each character was throughout the issue, and I'm glad I wasn't overloaded from the very start with everyone at once. The opening quotes were well selected, and the little real-world fact snippets that came every so often were a nice little technique as well.
That said, I do have one criticism, and it was this: Although by the END of the issue I had an idea who each character was, I was quite bewildered at first and had I not known some basic Titans details, I imagine I would have been lost. Case in point- Kid Flash and Raven. I didn't know who "Rachel" was until it said she was Raven. Then I knew virtually nothing about them. Had I not known who Wally was, I might have been even more confused- and even knowing who he was, I didn't know what age bracket the entire team was meant to be in! (Perhaps because I'm used to Wally as proper Flash) I think for this to be a jumping on point, a little exposition given in each character's first appearance would definitely be helpful. And while we're at it, it also seemed a bit mad when Cyborg, Beast Boy and then Wonder Girl popped up for the first time with no explanation (Well, some for Wonder Girl) at the battle site and simply got straight in. Some narrative help could have been a great help!
That said, these are mainly complaints for a newcomer to the Titans rather than a more experienced reader. It was still a very well written issue, there was some very nice dialogue, the characters engrossed me once I recovered from my confusion and the plot has sufficiently hooked me to make me want to read next issue. A solid 4 stars.

This is why when I first joined I didnt read any current issues. Go back and read issue #0 and start from their. Admittdely I didnt read all of them but read most of the arcs and its alot easier. I recommend all titles but mainly this one, GLC and Detective Comics are some great issue to start of with from issue #0.

I have to admit that I have never been a regular reader of this title but I do plan on getting to that 'virtual' stack sitting at my desk someday. But since I have waited for Jay to take this team on for what seems like a year...here I am! Seeing the team in a few quiet moments after their recent adventures is always cool. The Titans are a family and you sometimes get the best stories during the down times. Of course that didn't last for long as they had to race off toward the mysterious probe. It took the whole dang issue and we still didn't discovery what had enchanted the probe but the build up was intense! Thanks for mentioning Roy's involvement with Checkmate (I promise Checkmate will return bigger and better then ever in January) I also liked seeing Dagon on the team still and can't wait to see what happens next! Ramon's covers are always a treat but this one felt like a homage to something but I can't quiet place it. Very cool! Overall a fantastic debut issue and no Terra in sight!
