Apprentice, you're starting strong out of the gate. I love the way you've paced this, building the tension slowly but steadily and then ending it right at the best (by which I mean the WORST) possible moment: the moment when I'm suddenly back to reality and thinking to myself "I gotta wait a whole month to find out what comes next?!?"
Maybe I should wait for the TPB...
Great debut. Looking forward to February!

Wow! Poor Roy... this has been paced really well I was glued to the screen. The action and dialogue are both well written and enjoyable. Deathstroke makes one more villain I'm happy to see debut this week. Keep up the good work!

Thanks, guys! The next issue will be a little (make that a lot) longer! I thought the length might be a problem, so I'm gonna try and extend the next ish! Glad you enjoyed it!

Very nice work there, amigo. Some nice characterisation (Wally in the bathroom, Kory get annnngry) and a very nice cliffhanger! Loving this, and I shall be back for part two!

Great job apprentice. Nothing tickles me more then a good cliff hanger, and boy did you give us a good cliff hanger! I, too, will be back. Wouldn't dare miss the next chapter!

Great work apprentice! I felt horrible for poor Roy!
Don't worry about the length though... if you think about it, a comic is only 22 pages of action/drama... I actually think the length you had here is approximately the equivalent of that. You write something too long & you risk possibly losing those with short attention spans! Luckily, with the writing chops you seem to posess, I doubt you'd lose anyone regardless of length!

Great cover (loved the pipe) although it was a shame it gave away the bad guy.
Anyway, enjoyed the story (especially the opening shock) and I'm glad to hear that the next issue will be longer (although I enjoyed this issue fine at the length it was).
On the picky front "that send shivers" should have been "that sent shivers" and "a blood gushing" should have just been "blood gushing".

Very nice, Apprentice! Nice set-up and good to see Slade here as his creepy best. The story moved at the perfect pace and set the scenes very well. Definately will be checking out the newer issues!
Ramon, love the cover!! A nicely executed idea and again, we see Deathstroke as a true threat and it foreshadows the rivalry/obsessive he seems to have over Nightwing.

In true DC fashion. Beat on the arrow guy This one seemed to be comic length were as the other three seemed very long. I like the pace of this one the best so far

Thanks, Roy! Don't worry, Speedy gets some action and the spotlight throughout my run...expect a lot of revelations for him.

and if you want even more Speedy, check out issue #6 of the New Outsiders, where he will be seen hanging with his one time mentor. (shameless plug, sorry Aprentice)
