Apologies for any errors, but I just wrote 5,000 words of this tonight because I wanted to get the damn issue out, so you have been warned.
Also, all the trigger warnings for this. It's... well. There's a reason it's a Mature title.

Holy shit! That was a great finale. Is Hellblazer always this fucked up? Definitely a mature title. You may make me want to pick up some Hellblazer Trades. Also I didn’t notice any mistakes. Either way, MORE PLEASE.

Holy shit! That was a great finale. Is Hellblazer always this fucked up? Definitely a mature title. You may make me want to pick up some Hellblazer Trades. Also I didn’t notice any mistakes. Either way, MORE PLEASE. Tonally, the classic Vertigo Hellblazer title varies, crossing genres and going from comedy horror to dark horror in a matter of pages. Garth Ennis always walked a fine line between the two, yet tonally it was perfectly in-keeping with the book. If the series was always unrelentingly dark, it couldn't have lasted, so there was always a vein of humour-- nominally from John himself-- that helped temper the atrocities he witnessed. There are so many amazing stories that are worth looking into, but my favourites (and recommendations) would have to be, in as close to chronological order as I can get... Dangerous Habits, Tainted Love, Rake at the Gates of Hell, How To Play With Fire, Haunted, Good Intentions, Out of Season, The Laughing Magician, Scab... and I realise that's a massive list, but it runs the gamut of stories and are all stellar. And if you look at the writers who worked on the book... Moore created the character, then you had the likes of Gaiman, Morrison, Ellis, Azzarello... all iconic in their own right. It's really fun to play in that sandbox! Anyway, next issue took shape in my head as this one wound down, and we'll see a coda of sorts from the events of this story. I have plans for season one, and it'll end in a certain place, and season two is going to be a different situation completely. Hopefully I can be consistent with getting stories, considering the rest of my writerly workload and all the other stuff I want to churn out. Thank you so much for your kind words and support. It really does make writing on the site worthwhile.
