This is getting tense! I get an awesome "Prison Break" vibe from this, with The Wizard as Abruzzi and Hal as Schofield, and I cannot wait for the conclusion!
Whilst Scott is the main Lantern man on site, you've taken this book in a new and exciting direction John!
AWESOME!
Five stars.

The prison sequences were well done. Wizard might want Hal's head though.
Is it wrong that I enjoyed Black Hand telling Star Sapphire-to-be off?

Thank you Charlie. I honestly have never watched the show (Maybe a future DVD purchase down the line) but always loved the shows concept. There will be a few more interesting characters from the inside that will show up next issue that might complicate things even more. I agree with you about Scott being the 'emerald knight' so it is an honor that I got this chance to tell a tale here. Honestly, the only reason I offered to tell this story was because I thought I could add a different take while still honoring what makes Green Lantern a kick ass character.I hope that comes through in the end. But I am still scared that people will wonder what the hell I am doing here other then screwing things up. Thanks for dropping in Jay. I was worried that the prison stuff would only be interesting to me so glad you liked it. It does appear that Hal is screwed doesn't it? I sure hope he has a plan. Not wrong at all. I thought it was kind of funny. But again if Hal gets out of his current situation it will be interesting see what happens between those two won't it? So far Hand hasn't done too much damage as Hal but next issue he shifts his attention to Green Lantern and does something Hal might not be able to undue.

Well, this issue proved that the last one was no one-hit-wonder! Another terrific job, John!
I really liked the prison scenes, and Zard's appearance as the ringleader; Hal is definately caught between The Rock and a hard place here, and it's effecting him (he's starting to think like Ollie)!
Looking forward to seeing some more familiar faces in the prison scenes--- who else is locked up and joining the escape?
My favorite scenes though were those with Black Hand. His inner monologue about Hal is funny--- and the bit with Carol was priceless! Hal thought The Rock was tough--- the worst is yet to come!
This issue sported one of the best covers ever of all time in the history of art! This really seemed like a cool Silver Age throwback with a modern look. Well done, Craig (and Ramon)!

Excellent cover and great story. Liked the warden's name (presumably an "Escape From Alcatraz" reference, rather than a Prisoner one, although both work).

This really has been a fun book to edit and John is the reason why. I love the way this guy's mind works, and I'm always excited to get that next chapter before anyone else!
Although the stuff with Hal was edge of you seat fascinating, it really was Black Hand that stole the show on this one. I couldn't help but laugh during the Carol situation. Oh poor, poor, Hal. He's got so much cleaning up to do... if he gets out of his situation, that is.
five stars, sir!

Thanks Dave! Hal is really going to have to use his head to get out of his current situation. Thinking like Ollie isn't such a bad thing now is it? The others that join in on the fun next issue may not be too familiar to the causally reader. You know how I like to use the obscure characters. Glad you liked Hands scenes. Those were the ones I found the hardest to do. The cover flat out rocked! Good catch on the wardens name. It was indeed from the Eastwood movie even though I loved The Prisoner. Talk about a show ahead of its time! I am always afraid that its my mind that will get me into trouble so thanks Brian. This was my first crack at a big time super hero so I am still trying to find my way around on the big stage. It's your support along with everyone else that encourages me to do my best. Here I was worried that I was going to get backlash for Hands comments to Carol. Tells you what I know. Thanks again to everyone who took the time to read and reply.

Well now... Hal's gotten himself into quite a pickle now, hasn't he? Another great issue! I can't wait to see what Hand has in store for Hal's life! After that little encounter with Carol (what the conversation lasted less than 5 minutes and he already screwed Hal's job?) I can only imagine what else he'd screw up with even more time! The details you used in describing prison life... you ever been behind bars? Keep it up, can't wait to read the conclusion! P.S. Awesome cover guys!

With more time Hand manages to screw up Hal so bad not even Geoff Johns could fix him! No hard time here. Just a lot of research which pays off sometimes. I even made my wife sit through the Nicholas Cage movie The Rock with me, but that was more for fun! Thanks Scott! Your feedback and encouragement means the most to me for obvious reasons.

This just keeps getting better and better (or worse and worse if you're on Hal's side fo the bars). Can't wait to see how it all works out...but most of all, I hope you explain just how the heck Black Hand pulled this whole body-switch thing off!

Yes, I did research the prison scenes, mostly for Suicide Squad but it worked out well here! Now what concerns me is that you know they ring true. Since you promised to be back please check out the ridiculously late final chapter now posted for your viewing pleasure!
