Pretty damn cool this one was! Seeing the story from Faraday's point of view was great. He is such an ass but a great character because of it! The way he is protective of Chloe shows he isn't such a bad guy right? The thoughts that went through Cloe's mind when she thought she was going to die was intense! We have Sinestro and the other guy....I haven't quiet figured that one out yet damn it! There is something more going on here that I can't quiet put my finger on it. Can't wait to see next issue with the torch bearer! Now of course I can't go without asking one simple question: WHERES GUY?

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!
This issue, to me was a bit disappointing. It crept up on me quickly and I wasn't quite prepared for it, though I started writing it almost two months ago. The end product isn't bad, just not quite what I hoped to achieve.
Faraday's fun to write because I can just let loose & make him a control freak a-hole. Which is why it was fun when Hal took control.
Chloe's part was fun to write because I could delve into some real deep feelings & fears. Curious how our mystery villain(s?) could bring that out of her. Also curious to see how Sinestro is a puppet again... will the guy ever be free of someone else's control? Yes he will, and it won't be pretty!
Yes, there is more more going on than meets the eye in, not only the story, but our mystery villain as well. All will be revealed VERY soon!
Guy will return in Green Lantern Corps Quarterly #11, in a feature written by yours truly, coming (gulp) next month... I think. I have to ask the EIC on that one.

first I'd like to say that the cover is indeed the, umm, bees knees. geez Charlie, who's the geezer around here, anyway? It took me a second to adjust to the first person for each character, but once I did, this was just like issue one... awesome! Boy am I really loving the Chloe in this book. Faraday in first person was a hoot and you gave him a bit of humanity when it comes to our favorite blond DEO agent, which was actually my favorite moment of this issue. Excellent work! And just like the first issue, you've got me wanting more... NOW! Any chance we can get this bi-weekly?

I would drop all my books if this meant GL going bi-weekly. I'm serious.
Come on Scott, pander to our desire to see more AWESOME!

I was literally rushed to the Hospital due to an exhaustion related nose bleed. My nose bled for almost 5 hours straight, and I don't mean a little trickle either. So, no I don't think GL will be going bi-weekly anytime soon... Not even sure if Legion will stay monthly. Between school work, work-work, and writing I've been averaging about 4 hours of sleep a night.

Huh....going by the Who's Who, I thought the other villain *was* Guy.....yeah I know I've got catching up to do....but what I read, I like.
Is it wrong that I see Chloe as Scully? Is it wrong I think she's hot? *ducks thrown objects*
I like.

I read it, but since I didn't read the last issue, it was a little hard to get into it. And not until half issue, I discovered it wasn't all in Hal's point of view. But since I am the one to blame for that, I'll look over it, and give you 5 stars.

I like the changing first person viewpoints, though it took me a moment to catch on. Once I did I got right into the story.
And a good story it is. Very strong characterizations, including a interesting view into Faraday's mindset. Your Hal is just classic Hal, can't say enough about him. And any appearance by Sinestro, even a puppet Sinestro, just makes me happy.
I have a suspicion of what the monster menacing Chloe is, but I'll keep it to myself so I don't look like a fool.
As always, great job!

Huh....going by the Who's Who, I thought the other villain *was* Guy Yeah, Im glad it wasnt only me. I figured a red haired yellow power super villian was Guy and he was making an early return. Ok now Im really on tenter hooks.

Great follow-up to last issue's premiere! Loving the return of Sinestro--- he's becomming possibly the best developed villain of the DC2.
The scenes with Chloe were just plain nail-biting. I hate to see Carol Ferris marginalized in favor of anyone, but I am loving what your doing with Chloe.
Pretty portentious last line, too! Can't wait to see where this leads (okay, so I know where it leads, but I still can't wait)!
And I thought the over was pretty darn good! A departure from your usual stuff, but still excellent!

Great issue!
Poor Chloe.
I like Sinestro's DC2 costume, too. I always wondered why the DC guys never gave Sinestro a costume with yellow on it to match his yellow power.
Are you guys going to be doing something with the Parallax Fear Anomaly? I think Parallax has something to do with this. If not him, then Nero. Nero's a schizo, just like this guy appears to be. Or could it be...A Nero/Parallax team-up?!

Okay, I'm dense: what's a Nero? I know Neron, but he's like the Devil, and I know the dude who fiddled while Rome burned, but I don't think you mean him, either. Anyhow, great story, but I didn't like the constant first-person shift. Great for internal monologue, but it ground the gears in my brain, constantly shifting POV like that. Please don't get any more stress-induced nosebleeds, that sounds like a lousy way to go.

you have no idea...
Alex Nero is a Kyle Rayner villain... Actually, I don't remember much about him. I need to talk to Ramon to get the skinny... Not that that is who our mystery villain is, mind you.
The constant shift in POV was the best way to tell this particular story... Originally I had a shift in fonts for each POV, but that became even more distracting. They do it in comics all the time, they just use different style caption boxes. Unfortunately, we don't have that luxury. Don't worry though, you only have one more issue told in that manner (unless I decide to do it more...)

Great job. I did read the first issue before I read this one and I'm glad I did.
I like how this whole thing kinda snuck up on Hal. I like it that he still goes to work and gets a thrill out of what he does. Although, I don't know of very many jobs where you can bugger out whenever you want and not eventually get fired for it.
You've really intrigued me about who the mystery villian, I can't wait to see the pulse-pounding conclusion.
Let me go ahead and throw my hat into the *ring* (hahahahahahahahaha, why is no one else laughing?) and say that I would like to guest spot a cover sometime if you'll have me. Roy

Thanks Hourman! All the hints as to the mystery villain's identity are there in the back issues of Tales of the GLC (now in the GLC Quarterly section)! Or at least... part of the villains identity. The new issue will be out one week from this Wednesday (January 10th) and will be my last for a couple issues, in the meantime I will serve as co-editor. Here's a teaser for #3:
