I can neither confirm, nor deny the existance of any such organization. And if there were such thing as said organization, King Faraday would surely not be the WHITE KING of it. No, absolutely not.

After reading issues 3 and 4 today to catch up i was expecting a let down on sorts with this issue. Boy was i wrong! Hal and his early experiences with the ring have totally blown me away. His inner monologue has me feel like I am becoming a Green Lantern along side of him. I still want to know what will happen with Guy! That is driving me nuts! Also, bringing in Kilowog to train Hal is nice (and fun) for long time fans but I want to know what will happen next with Chloe and King Faraday? So if Faraday is the White King who is the Black King? How many people are involved with this yet to be officially named-Checkmate? There are so many things going on with the intro of the Tattooed Man and the menace causing the red rain it makes my head spin! I want more and I want it now!

OK I thought I hit modify but it deleted my post and I had to redo it! If that isn't a government conspiracy I don't know what is! Something weird is going on in the DC2 universe!

Must... please... next issue... soon!!!
I'm addicted to this! Here's to hoping Faraday is a good guy though. Not so hot on the idea of Chloe and Hal though. Looking forward to next issue!

You blew me away, Scott! Awesome story, and what happened with Faraday at the end of the issue? Hmm... Something is afoot!

blew me away too. I like how the leaders of this huge organization communicate,
BlkKing so i killt that her0 WtKing PWND WtKing LOL BlkKing oh sht, G2G WhtKing L8 BlkKing TTYL WhtKing KK
kidding asside though, that was great, i loved kilowog in that. Hate to go ryu on ya, but are there plans to use G'nort? that would rule too hard.

My favorite line: Until it blinked. I know we haven't even met Carol Ferris yet, but I gotta weigh in on the side of a Hal and Chloe thing! I think there might be some sort of chemistry there--- and Hal is a flyboy, ladies' man, after all (just bring him his smoking jacket and a nice courvoisier) Could be the whole Babs vs. Kory debate all over! Great issue, Scott. Hal sounds and acts like a good old fashioned hero. And if anyone has any doubts that Hal's title is the one to watch in our sensational second year, then they really need to read a little closer (the plot thickens!)... And what a set-up for the next issue! The sky rains blood, and the Tattooed Man is on the loose!

Frankly for the Carol vs. Chloe argument I'd have to say Carol but I guess we'll just have to wait for the ball to roll. What's happening with Sinestro? Are they dissecting him or something? (cue creepy music).

Awesome job, Scott!!! I have been waiting patiently for Kilowog, and boy did you deliver. Hal and Chloe or Hal and Carol. Either way it goes, I'm sure you'll make us believe it.

Hal, being a well-known ladies' man, will probably try to juggle both. Good stuff, but I was also hoping to see what happened to Guy...wait, did I just say I WANTED to see Guy? Somebody take my temperature, I must still be sick! And Sinestro blinks! Suddenly it's a Monty Python sketch: "I'm not dead! I feel happy...I think I'll go for a walk..." ;D Good stuff all-around, see ya in 30!

...Sinestro blinked.
...it rained blood.
...some guy firing energy at the sky.
...Kilowog trained Hal.
...could it get any better?

Really enjoyed the book so far, this is as far as I've got in one sitting so I thought I'd post my comments. I really like the way you're introducing us to the corps and it's characters. I want to read some Abin Sur back-up stories now! And although I was disappointed you didn't go with the Alan Moore backstory to Abin Sur I still really liked the way you handled everything in the book.
I'm not actually a big GL fan in the regular comics but I've always been a fan of space opera type stuff so I will avidly keep reading. It's quite nice to have joined the party late as there's almost always something new for me to read.

Thanks Spiderfan! I was actually afraid to read your review at first... I'm glad you come to it fresh without a lot of the GL baggage that comes with reading the regular series. I think a lot of people expect just a regular approach to GL and walk away not quite sure how to digest this.
Stay tuned & stick with it... especially since you like space-opera, once issue #11 comes out you won't know what's going on, but I think you'll like it! I can honestly say this is going where no GL story has EVER gone before!
