This was solid, an I enjoyed it very much! I liked how we were in it from the beginning, and saw how the characters history evolved. Good going Scott!

Great story, Scott! Nice to see all the pre-story for the Corps and Hal. Can't wait for the next one.

This is just an incredible story of epic scope. I thought that the historical record format of the first half was great, sucking the reader into the story of the Guardians and the Corps. It read like a modern tale of Camelot (Oa) and the Knights of the Round Table (the Corps). It's a pity the fate of Abin Sur is tragically pre-ordained, but I wonder, Scott, do you plan to do anything eventually with Amon Sur?

I really like the historical format too. It was like looking into the files of the guardians. Very interesting. Now i'm just waiting on the next issue.

Dude, Scott...excellent! This "peak behind the curtain" was so entertaining and, as said before, informative, that I feel like now I need to know what happens next. Awesome!

Great work!
I really like the retcon of Alan Scott's lantern and ring. Fitting it into the history of Parallax and the Corps is a natural... considering DC's creation of Parallax is a retcon to begin with. { originally the only connection to the Guardians is that they harnessed the 'wild magic' of the universe into the starheart which madi its way to earth as a meteor and later forged into a lantern and ring in ancient China... whew. Golden Age origins can be over complicated and rarely tie in nicely to current storylines }.
At least if you guys have Hal go crazy one day it can be explained by this pre-existing nasty... and not the way DC did it which always seemed like a cop out to me.
I wanted Hal back { in reg DC } as much as anybody. But the way in which they denied his pain and traumatic .. mental breakdown.. by copping out and giving him an excuse { PLease.. inventing Parallax after the fact to get him off the hook ... horrible writing there } His character had so much more depth and texture with bloodstains on his hands... the guilt and perseverance to atone... these were strong motivations for him... Now DC can ignore his actions.. since they weren't his fault. BLECH!!
Here at DC2 You guys have the chance to do the characters proud and avoid the contradictions and outright mistakes the "pros" have made.
