As we near the final chapter of this epic tale, let me take a moment to thank Don Walsh for stepping in at the very last moments and editing this issue, and for Ramon Villalobos, as ever, for delivering an amazing cover.
Please take a moment, if you will, and tell us what you thought of the penultimate chapter of DC2 Nemesis...!

I was very much looking forward to this issue posting, and read it in a hurry last night as soon as I saw it. While it was still a thrill ride and a great read, it didn't quite measure-up to previous issues (to me) and I'm not sure why... Maybe because it was mainly a set up for what I'm sure is going to be an awesome finale? Maybe because the hasty editing is obvious (numerous typos, tense-shifting in mid-paragraph at one point, clumsy phrasing in places)... Or maybe because it simply went exactly how I thought it was going to go, and the only real twist (previous issues were full of them) came at the end with the Mystics?
That being said, the scene where Nekron speaks through the mob of Opal citizens was inspired scariness! The explaination of the Tree of Life and the nature of Nekron's threat was pretty interesting, as well as Zauriel telling Wonder Woman he healed her with the power of what might have one day become Greenland! And the revelation that Dick is immune from Nekron because of the "taint of another being" just makes me go "Hmmm..."
Glad to see the Ray back in business! The heroes are cooking up something special with their Boom Bomb, no doubt!
Favorite bit was the end with Zatanna glimpsing the true faces of Phantom Stranger and Zor (who is that, BTW--- never heard of him).
As for the cover, it was okay, but (and I sorry to say this) it doesn't excite me at all. Could be my aesthetic or my high expectations of Ramon, but these covers seem phoned-in.
Blow me away next issue, fellas! I know you can do it!

Hey awesome! You noticed! This cover was actually quite literally phoned-in, you see I was using an app on my brother's iphone and its a crappy art generator so I figured I'd try that one out. Basically you press a button and it gives you crappy art. I was testing it and check it out, TOTALLY works!

Sorry, buddy. They can't all be home-runs; solid base hit, but I know you are capable of much more.

Thanks for honesty though, what's the point of this kind of site if you can't take honest criticism when you're work isn't your best? The whole point is to grow and if its all "great job man!" there's no point.

Or maybe because it simply went exactly how I thought it was going to go, and the only real twist (previous issues were full of them) came at the end with the Mystics? Ah, sorry. Kevin was in Spain, there was a crazy lack of communication on both our parts, and Don stepped up pretty much a night before it was due. We were lucky to have it out, either way. Sorry it didn't live up. That being said, the scene where Nekron speaks through the mob of Opal citizens was inspired scariness! Thank you. The explaination of the Tree of Life and the nature of Nekron's threat was pretty interesting... Not following established lore, but going in a different direction... I'm aware of all the proper myths behind the World Tree, and this is a different kind of exploration... but one that was fun to write anyway. ...as well as Zauriel telling Wonder Woman he healed her with the power of what might have one day become Greenland! A moment I had to write in from the conception of that scene. Thanks for mentioning it ;D And the revelation that Dick is immune from Nekron because of the "taint of another being" just makes me go "Hmmm..." Well... # Glad to see the Ray back in business! The heroes are cooking up something special with their Boom Bomb, no doubt! Chapter Seven promises to be one hell of an issue, with so many twists and turns that, well, you'll have to read it to find out. Woof. Favorite bit was the end with Zatanna glimpsing the true faces of Phantom Stranger and Zor (who is that, BTW--- never heard of him). I loved writing that moment-- it kind of just made sense that these two magical juggernauts weren't exactly all... there. Zor is a Grant Morrison creation, from the Seven Soldiers Zatanna miniseries. He's got a brilliant look, and his appearance here ties back, once again, to Wonder Woman #25. Heh. I've taken a few liberties with his character, and I hope to, down the line, explore the Stranger and Zor's enmity a bit more. Blow me away next issue, fellas! I know you can do it! We'll try our damndest!

A terrific build up and I have to admit that I liked the end with Zatanna as well. That one statement actually gave me a few goosebumps. Let's hear it for Dart! Woo Hoo! A 1950's character that I brought back (and GA hasn't seen the last of yet), who gets used for this huge crisis! thanks for that old chum! To me, though, everyone scene with Dick was my favorite. He may not be Bruce, but he's one hell of a focal point for this kind of story. Great job everyone.

Yeah, like I've said before, that was one moment I've wanted to get to since the start of the Nemesis writing process. Glad you liked Let's hear it for Dart! Woo Hoo! A 1950's character that I brought back (and GA hasn't seen the last of yet), who gets used for this huge crisis! thanks for that old chum! That one was for you, mate. Glad you approved. One of my earlier plans for the event was to feature every single character or team that the site has going right now, but it was really... really... hard. But I have future plans, for next year, that might make that possible. Oh, I'm already so excited for it. To me, though, everyone scene with Dick was my favorite. He may not be Bruce, but he's one hell of a focal point for this kind of story. Again, glad you approved. Dick's been fun to write. Always will be--! Thanks for reading Brian, and thanks for the praise!
