Another enjoyable issue, a lot tighter and much more fast paced than previous issues. I feel like you're hitting your groove, maybe? Was this easier to write than the first three? I imagine you've set up your shop now and you're playing with the wares, and it reads well for it. I'd be interested to get your take on it, mate.
During the first old days sequence I loved the creakier version of Batman, the one who kept having to remind himself of the theatrics. The Bat-Man! Brilliant. I wonder where this lies within the DC2 Bat continuity? It all comes so naturally to Bruce now, but I like how you're not losing sight of him behind the mask.
In the same sequence, and this is a minor thing that I always keep an eye out for in my own work, Bruce kept THROWING HIMSELF TO THE GROUND. Happened twice, maybe three times? I always try and shake up how I describe similar actions, so I always pick it up in others.
Mr Unknown, to me, is best recognised as the character from the first Batman, Inc arc, so I don't know how much you've developed him in your own direction. I love heroes posing as villains, it works so well here too, so well done. I love how Bruce kept scowling like a child! Old days indeed.
I'm enjoying the Japanese take on Batman so far, what with Chibi Bat-san, youth culture, t-shirts, this is a great direction for Batman, Inc. Very cool. I love Lord Death Man, but I'm pleased you're not using him as much as those early Batman, Inc issues did, because as you know from my last feedback, we should follow but not copy! Good work!
Island Zero... a Planetary concept? I love Planetary, and I loved the Island Zero issue, so if we get to see Batman take on kaiju, we're all the luckier for it!
See you next time!
