*Munches some popcorn* Great opening battle scene!
I knew this wouldn't dissapoint. Another group DC2 can do right by, where "official" DC tried many times and failed, is Titans West.
Ironic to see Cody being relatively level headed for a change! The details of Hawk's situation will be cleared up in time, I'm sure.
Can't wait for the cover!
(I think this is the fastest I've replied to an issue, ever.)

*Munches some popcorn* Great opening battle scene! Thank you! Thank you again. I'm hoping that people like this enough to perhaps make it a bit more of an ongoing. Say four times a year, perhaps? As the song says, "We've only just begun..." ;D I've seen some of it and it is an amazing cover, but then it's our own Brandon, so why wouldn't it be. And thanks for reading and responding so quickly. Mucho Gracias.

Brian wrote this, so I wanted to read it--- but when I saw that cover, I had to!
Well done, Brian! You brightened up my day here in this dreary Seattle hotel. Loved this issue--- you have become an unmatched storyteller (in my book), and I can't wait unti lnext issue.
And Brandon--- that cover rocks, especially Golden Eagle, but I love the Battle of the Planets homage you've got working with Hawk and Dove!
This issue is a great example of when the synergy between writer and artist drags in the reader.
I'll be back next issue, my friends!

Hey thanks Dave! I tried to blend a lot of things in Golden Eagle and got a little creative on it. And yeah, the Battle of the Planets thing I couldn't resist after I sketched them out like that. It's a minor change that can be easily undone if nobody wants to draw them that way.

BTW, for those of us who skipped comics in the 90s, what is the deal with this Risk character? All I know about him is he used to be a (Team?) Titan, and got his arm ripped off by Superboy-Prime in Infinite Crisis...
Awesome to see Karen again--- but when will Mal suit up? Wasn't he the Golden Horn or some such?
Speaking off Golden--- looking forward to the DC2 Charlie Parker!
Also, is this mini monthly or quarterly?

This was fantastic work, sir! You can really tell you've been wanting to tell this story, I think, because of all the heart and energy and effort you've put into this finished piece. Each character had a moment to shine, everyone was so solid and clearly defined as the characters they should be, as opposed to how DC!editorial think they should be. I want more. And I want now. (Anyone else get a Queen vibe just then, or was it just me?)
Oh, and Brandon, always fantastic to see you gracing our board with your superbly depicted covers. Got the G-Force reference straight off the bat, and all those characters looked so crisp. Keep up the good work!!

Risk was the hot head of that team. After the last days of Wolfman, but before Devin Grayson's run, is where that group fits in to history. Edit: How remiss of me not to include the appropriate link to Titans Tower: www.titanstower.com/source/whoswho/risk.html

Thank you. I'm embarrassed. But the cover is really awesome and I want to thank Brandon for doing this at a time when he was really busy! I owe him big time! I hope you enjoy next issue as much as the first one. The Chief is up next on the cover and can't wait to see the great things he's going to bring to the table. And thank you, good Sir!

I had a lot of fun writing it and issue 2 is already done (which for me is surprising). These characters are really unique and special, and although not the most popular Titans that ever walked through the doors, they have a rich past that I hope to really delve into (in a DC2 kind of way, of course!) Thanks for reading and responding!

Hornblower and a couple of others as well. Other West titans will be appearing eventually. Some that may be a surprise. Charlie is really the major focus of this first arc, so I hope I do it right. This is a five issue mini that will end in February and then become a quarterly starting in March.

An interesting, intriguing opening issue, with a fun monster fight that's always great for gathering the good guys, and a fun assortment of good guys we get. I can't wait to see how this plays out, what the mystery is and how various members of this team combine (and/or collide). Lots of promise in here, and I'm looking forward to seeing it play out. Good work, Brian.
Take care Don

And I can't ever remember doing a monster attack, so it was kind of a fun change of pace for me. hope to see you next time.
