DOPE I had been waiting for this one and I totally wish I could have sen the rest of them. Great job man. Though I gotta say, I see more funkadelic influence in Flash than glam. He's got like a Bootsy Collins thing going on.

Thanks!
Yeah, it's supposed to be early 70s Bowie glam but I can totally see the Funkadelic thing.

Instead of Adam and Eve...DC2 has Black Adam and Isis.

That 70s League... Glam Flash, Punk Canary, and Disco Lantern. If I hadn't of run short of time on this pic you might have also been subjected to Roller Derby Wonder Woman, Ren Faire Green Arrow, Fear and Loathing Batman, or Blaxploitation Black Lightning. Ya know, I'd like to see the Roller Derby Wondy and Blaxplotation Black Lightning myself. Draw 'em! I like the 70s League pic. Flash: *singing* Ground control to Major Tom...
BC: *singing* London calling, to the underworld...
GL: *singing* Discoooo, Disco Duck...I want to see more 70s-style leaguers!

Thanks 1701! I'll definitely consider getting a few more down on paper. Nice lyric add-ons there too.

I think this is the deadline I put down. The participation was light on this so I guess no reason to poll. If anyone else still wants to pitch in on this then please do! Thanks to everyone that posted a pic for this. Fun stuff guys. I'd have to make a special note though for Roy's super-cool Steampunk Red Tornado! I'd love to see that one in color. On to the next challenge! Anyone got any ideas?

Umm how about... casting comic book characters in different movies. Like Blue Beetle and Booster Gold in pulp fiction or Batman in Footloose... something like that...

Thanks 1701! I'll definitely consider getting a few more down on paper. Nice lyric add-ons there too. You should. I love the mental image of Wondy on Roller Skates. Well, I'm a big 1970s/1980s buff, and I thought each of those Leaguers would love those artists. 70s Flash reminded me of David Bowie (The lightning on the face is an obvious Ziggy Stardust reference to me), 70s Canary would obviously be into the Clash, a pioneering punk act, and well, 70s GL is a big disco freak, so Rick Dees for him. And "Disco Duck" is a hilarious song. And as for the next challenge, I love the idea of superheroes protraying movie characters. You could have Wonder Woman pay tribute to Marilyn Monroe from that famous scene in "Some Like It Hot", I think. You could have Superman pay tribute to Rocky Balboa, and Flash paying tribute to "Chariots of Fire", as examples.

This was a fun challenge, Brandon. That 70s-era League is a riot! Just add a hippie-Hawkman and a biker-Green Arrow (hows that for role reversal ;D) and you've got the makings of a classic and hilarious Elseworlds tale! Umm how about... casting comic book characters in different movies. Like Blue Beetle and Booster Gold in pulp fiction or Batman in Footloose... something like that... LOL! Awesome idea! I'd love to see Jay Garrick doing "Singing in the Rain."

No problem, Roy good sir. The movie thing sounds like the way to go and people seem ready to jump on it so I'll put up the new challenge really soon. Great idea on the photo manips too. We haven't really done anything like that but I've seen whole photoshop contests based on it and it's looks like it would be fun so heck yeah.
