Hello fellow DC fans! I'm Serafina, people call me Sera, and I've just been recently introduced into the DC universe by a good friend. I've been starting to read (or introduced to) Witchblade, Wonder Woman, Thor, Green Arrow, Dark Avengers, Teen Titans, Terror Titans just to name a few. (I can thank Mischief for this . He also told me to join the site. Lol)

Welcome to DC2, Sera. I'm Pat. I haven't met anyone for awhile who had just recently been introduced to DC. What do ya think of its comics so far?

Thanks for the welcome!! I do really like the comics for far...I'm mainly hooked on Witchblade (I'm HUGE into mythology) but I do have to thank Mischief for a lot of it and my dad, he used to collect nearly everything back in the 60's.
Does anyone have any suggestions on comics? I want to broaden everything. =)

first of all, welcome to DC2 serafin! Chief was my editor on Batman Beyond until KD came back and helped me out a lot, so, any friend of his is a friend of mine!
If you're looking for new books to read, I suggest ANYTHING written my Peter Tomasi. In my mind he's the best writer at DC right now, bar-none. In the marvel section, there's only one book I'd really suggest and that's Captain Britain & MI:13. It's a brilliant book written by Paul Cornell......
And, of course, pretty much anything written by Geoff Johns is new-reader friendly, so you won't get lost. hope that helps!

Hey a very very hearty welcome to the site, I hope you enjoy it!!
I too have a major thing for mythology particularly ancient greek and roman, and it is one of the things that lead to my love of Comicbooks to be honest, whilst looking for recommendations, are you meaning on the site itself? Or from the companies such as marvel or dc?
It would actually be quite hard to recommend on the site, because it is a little daunting as everything is so amazing.
Currently in terms of comics I am really enjoying mighty avengers, which is sort of at an ideal jumping on point at the moment,
And from dc, I love jsa personally, huge cast training the next generation of superheroes and legacy characters

It is awesommely well written and drawn, maybe I'm biased because it is a comic about the uk, but it is brilliant!

Hey John...I read that. Lol. Welcome to the site. I know you like mythology, so check out Shazam. But pay no attention to Mr. Empire over there. He is just getting old and losing his hair(I think).
Welcome to the fun house that is DC2. Be sure to check out our sister site DC3 and Independent Comics.

Well, welcome aboard, hope you like what we have to offer when you do figure out where to start. LOL Personally, I'd recommend the Flash (which has been getting rave reviews, and its current story arc has only begun a few months back and is new-reader friendly, so that much less of a chunk to jump into); New Outsiders (which is by and large acclaimed one of the best titles on the site); Batman, Superman or Wonder Woman (since they are the cornerstones of DC, though there's a LOT of reading to catch up on LOL); Justice League or JSA, since both sit at the heart of a lot of DC2U activity; or a niche market in the excellently written Weird Western Quarterly (it's a quarterly, so fewer issues, and one of the best titles on the site, by one of our best writers, Susan...caveat is, it IS a western with DC's western heroes and set in the Wild West). Hope you like whatever we have to offer. That's just the tip of a really, really huge iceberg. And if you want more, there's DC2's sister site, DC3, the rest of the DC2U's multiverse to explore as well. Take care Don

I will say welcome to the site.
Though the large black dragon shall stay in her corner and keep her mouth closed about things or Chief will chain her back in the basement.
"Yes I hear that comment Chief."
Dragon goes off to curl up mumbling about "stupid husband and all his silly rules and demands to her about her editing and her slow writing."
Again welcome and I will shush up now.

Welcome, Nathan. I'm Jay, the Elseworlds Editor. If your idea can fit in the regular continuity of a title we have, then you'll talk to the writers/editors of those titles; but if you want to do something more out there/what if style with the DC characters, talk to me.

Hi! Jon here! I'm a part time student and full time cubicle monkey. I just spent a few hours looking over DC2 and all I can say is this place is amazing!!! Been a comics fan all my life but I had no clue about sites like this! I can't believe how professional it all looks. You guys have comics here that have been running for years and it looks like original art with every issue. And a lot of the art looks professionally done or better than some pros that i've seen. I haven't read any of the issues yet myself, but I can not wait to dig in to a few titles and maybe add some of my own work to this masterpiece!

Thanks arcalian! I am definitely not an artist, but I would like to write for DC2. I am looking in the info forums, but I don't see what titles or characters are available. I am planning on putting together a proposal to the admin, but not sure what direction to go in. I am just excited by what I am seeing here and want to get involved! Any suggestions?

That depends if it's regular continuity or Elseworlds. If it's regular continuity, and a title not already being written, the appropriate editor will talk to you. If it's an Elseworlds proposal, you'll talk to me.
In either case, the biggest logistical hurdle will be getting a cover artist.

Welcome to the DC2, dullman. Lots of opportunities here for writers to strut their stuff. Have fun, and let us know what you think of the issues you read!
