An okay follow-up. Pretty dialogue heavy, but I can only assume it's because there will be far more action in the rest of the arc. Spellbinder was only a so-so villain in the series and i'm hoping this will make him seem cooler. The dialogue between Terry and Bruce drags at some times, but it's mostly fun, as is the dialogue with Terry and Max. I'll be back next month to see where this goes.

thanks again for reading, UDC! Yeah, I know this issue didn't have a lot of action, but spellbinder isn't really a character that Batman gets into fistfights with. It's more of a mind-game kind of thing, which I enjoy myself. The next chapter will indeed have more action, but I'm not sure it will have as much as you want. I wanted the first arc after the origin to show Terry playing detective. Showing that, yes he has a lot to learn, but he's not just a dim-witted guy who tries to solve every problem with his fists. So this arc will see Terry a bit more in the detective role.... but it just wouldn't be Terry story without him slugging somebody now would it? -Cam-

another fun issue. With two really cool covers!
I'm starting to think that maybe I missed out by not watching Batman Beyond. I like the chemistry between Bruce and Terry. Also was sad jolt when he didn't know who Alfred was. I can't imagine a Bat-world without Alfred.
Good stuff. I'll be back next month.

I've seen all the Batman Beyond episodes... so if you've never seen them it's a world that depends on a lot of dialogue because the world that the old Batman is a part of we're familiar with...
I hadn't read the previous issue, because I am not a fan of this incarnation of Batman, because Batman to me is a Man and not a boy.... BUT. (yah you knew it was coming. lol)
It was well written. I don't remember Spellbinder, because I guess it wasn't an important issue, but I liked the flow and ebb of the conversation with Max and Bruce.. Maybe doin' a flashback seen when Terry had a real father and compare it to Bruce? I dunno just a suggestion.. I remember what Terry's father was like so it'd be interesting to see that.
Anyway, there's some grammatical gaffs here and there, but it's manageable.
**** from me.
1st cover is by Mischief so I give it ****.
I'll be back to check it out next month.. I think you did a good job.

thanks Brian, glad you're enjoying my first full arc on the series! And thanks to you, too, Zirron; glad you decided to check it out!
I wanted the first arc (after the origin arc) to feature a classic Batman Beyond villain, to give everyone someone familiar, but I didn't want to just rip off the shows Spellbinder origin, so, instead, I decided to change it a bit to make it my own.
This arc will wrap up next issue (yes, it's a short one) and then I'll be doing my first completely original arc on the series, and it's going to feature a certain villain that you never saw in the tv series! (just thought I'd toss that out there to build anticipation lol)

Methinks he won't be keeping his girlfriend for very much longer.
I remember Max in the cartoon quite clearly, though.

well, Jay, that's one thing I always admired Stan Lee for..... giving the heroes relationship problems! I don't think that's really explored quite enough in DC these days, so I'm trying to bring a bit of that to Terry's life..... Now, I won't be getting Dana thrown off a rooftop to her doom. (Still hate that that happened to Gwen Stacey) but I will be putting a strain on their relationship like the animated series did, only, I hope to delve a bit deeper into it in good time....
