My body is ready! Also...
1) What has become of Lamentation Day? Will that continue on or is it forgotten? 2) Which Earth will this take place on? Earth One? Earth A? Multiverse Crossover? 3) Based on the logo I'd assume the New Gods will be involved?
P.S. Nice job on the logo. Expecting great things.

Hey Hush, I'll answer your questions-- as many as I can, at least-- over the weekend!

Multiverse Crossover? 3) Based on the logo I'd assume the New Gods will be involved? P.S. Nice job on the logo. Expecting great things. Let's have a look then! 1) Don and I have discussed returning to Lamentation Day, as it lays the groundwork for what we have planned across the site. Hopefully we're able to revisit it, but it looks like it'll be late 2015 or 2016 by the time we get round to it. When we do, expect a massive 'relaunch', so everyone gets the benefit of one of the coolest stories we planned for a long while. I just hope Fantomas can come back onboard, but I know how busy he's been.' 2) Omega Crisis is the 'final story' of Earth-1, and the event itself will not involve any other realities. That said, I know Brandon has some plans for Earth-2, and one title that's coming your way from me is going to lean heavily on the multiverse. When we say 'final story', it's the culmination of everything the majority of the founding members have done, and the entire event, the whole anniversary, is written with the fact in mind that it's the final DC2 story you're going to see from the likes of David "Idlewilder" Charlton, Scott "LanternLad" Kruger, Brandon "Killerseamonkey" Herren, et al. It's going to be massive, it's going to be brilliant, and I'm excited to be the one to announce that it's coming. We all deserve it! 3) No spoilers here, Hush10, but I hope we pleasantly surprise you... That logo is designed by our very own Scott Kruger, and it's brilliant, you're damn right! If you have any more questions, keep them coming! We're back!

I just hope Fantomas can come back onboard, but I know how busy he's been. I really hope I can come back onboard too. I'm busy, yes, but it's finally gotten so I get clear office hours then clear down-time (which means sunshine and cheap beer, China's pretty great for that). I'm trying to build up a few issues in the bag before I jump back on the DC2 train properly, but I've definitely made a start on more Batman Incorporated and more Batman & Robin. At the very least I'd like to get to Incorporated #10, wrap up the whole Order of Beasts arc. I'm sure I've said that before. But there's definitely some excitement back at DC2, thanks to Charlie in a big way, and I'd really like to be a part of what's going on in the near future.

You know I'm psyched to see whatever you can deliver, mate; do what you have to do to get active again! I have all sorts of projects I want to run by you, including a massive one that means I'm looking for, effectively, a writing staff... nothing to do with Omega Crisis, but a damn cool project none the less. Thanks for the kind words and we'll get this site up to full speed in no time.

Omega Crisis will be the capstone of our "Ten Years Later..." celebration, a coda to the overall epic of Earth-One that started on the DC2's opening day. It will be, in effect, the last story of Earth-One. This will be one not to be missed.

For those of you who want a glimpse into what's coming for our massive TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY, we're publishing a SNEAK PEAK into the event this coming Wednesday, with loads of cool bits and pieces for all you true believers.
In addition, I've updated the calendar so you can see all the titles we've got planned to hit in the coming months-- with more to be announced!
Now is a great time to be a fan of the DC2--!

I knew there was a reason why I've been reminiscing lately about the great times I've had at DC2. This is great news, to see the old guard getting together for one last hurrah. I'll support anyway I can, even if it's just as a fan.

Well, this month we have the first of our Ten Years Later specials coming out-- namely Aquaman: Darkest Depths!
Who's excited to see what Arthur has gone through since we 'last saw him' ten years ago?

Thanks for the plug, Charlie. I can't believe Ten Years Later is almost here!
I'm excited for people to see my first and last issue of Earth-One Aquaman. This one-shot issue actually serves as a prelude to all my loosely interlinked Ten Years Later minis (Aquaman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Hawkman, and Justice Society of America). This issue will stand alone and serve as the last Earth-One Aquaman story, but anyone who reads it will have greater enjoyment and understanding of the larger epic of the Great Disaster that will unfold in my 10YL minis. That being said, the minis are all self-contained stories, and folks can read any of them without having to read all of them.

Very Seven Soldiers of Victory Seeing your version of The Great Disaster will be very interesting indeed!

Well, this event kinda petered out quickly. Which of the incomplete / announced stories would you like to see wrapped?

The ten years later stories have been a lot of fun and are clearly labours of love. So I say write whatever one is closest to you.

The ten years later stories have been a lot of fun and are clearly labours of love. So I say write whatever one is closest to you. I do hope we get to see the continuation of some of the stories here. I know David and Scott said they wanted to get the next issues of their stories out this year, but due to the pressures of Real Life, sometimes these things don't come out as planned. I want to finish Superwoman and Batman: The Final Knight, because I had real high hopes for them, and I know I had ideas for continuations of the latter, and thoughts on folding the former into the present day somehow. Kara Zor-El became a character I adored writing, and it may be that we see books anthologizing (is that even a word??) adventures had during the 10 year jump, just to keep my toes wet in that pond. I need to get Gotham Knights: The Last Laugh out, because I've written so much of it, and I need to wrap up the first issue! Once DrDread wraps the covers to Green Lantern Corps #64-66 (I'm really embracing the three-part structure on that title, and I love the idea of having the same artist on all the issues in a run) I may speak to him about the cover to B:TFK, and I'm sure there must be an artist on the site right now who wouldn't mind doing something Joker-related for GK:TLL!

Right. Here's an announcement.
Two issues of OMEGA CRISIS are in the bag. I'm halfway through #3 with 5k words. So SO SO I'm going to solicit #1 for next month, and we'll be posting on a bi-monthly schedule. Originally, we thought it would be a four issue miniseries, but I'm not going to limit the event to that. This story will take as long as it takes to be told.
Nathan Kilburn is on #1, and he's just about to start colouring his cover, and Steve Howard is on #2. I'll be reaching out for future covers soon, as the story really informs me of what needs to be on them.
In addition, SUPERWOMAN #4 is 3.5k done, while BATMAN: THE FINAL KNIGHT #2 is 3.1k down. I really want you to see the conclusion of those stories before we get into the meat of OMEGA CRISIS.
I'll have more when I have more. I am very pleased with how this is going, and yeah, by #4 it's going to be an Eleven Year Anniversary event, but until then... OMEGA CRISIS is coming. BE AFRAID.

Last night I had one of those great creative talks with Steve and we're locked down for Superwoman #4, the finale of our first 10YL epic!
And then we got to talking Aquaman, so that's something you should be keeping an eye out for come 2017... Big plans!

JF, our very own DrDread, presented me with a very special video presentation for the finale to Batman: The Final Knight, which I think is amazing and worth sharing. Doc had been with us since the earliest days and he continues to innovate and dazzle with his contributions to the site. And now that we have this brilliant, Bauhaus-scored teaser, I guess the issue itself should go up, don't you?
