Nice job to the World's Mightiest collaborative team! A grand return to a title long-missed from the site.

Well good to be missed and great to once again release an issue. Thanks to everyone for their patience.

I have to say, I am impressed with the amount of research that went into this annual, specifically Isis' quest (though I'm confused as to why Caesar would incant in Anglo-Saxon, and some of the other spells are in some Eastern European pidgeon), not to mention how it ties into Nemesis. Nice continuity there!

KD did pretty much most of the reseach for the previous storylines. Especially when it invoves Isis. The source of Caesar's magic is in the language. The different languages cast a different effect. Hence his use of Spanish and other languages.

The continuity...these characters are apart of a shared universe and its great to see that interaction.

Even Caesar was less annoying this issue--- as long as we get him in small doses, it should be okay ;). He seems to be an integrated part of the DC2 Fawcett now!

Its working. Dave is breaking down. He will like him more and more. Sad to say that Caesar will be play a bigger role in the upcoming storyline. Hence the little teaser...

Is Ibis here in his most recent (and regretable) Tad Williams incarnation?

I'm not familiar with any incarnation of Ibis the Invincible. We pretty much wrote the character from the previous stories here on DC2. So sorry about that.

Awesome character developments with Mary. Nice to see her stepping up! I see, however, that you are going with the more traditional "Mary Marvel" rather than the originally proposed "Miss Marvel" for which I can't fault you (even if Mary Marvel is a stupid name for a superhero ;D) as I am a traditionalist myself when it comes to this sort of thing.

Well I thank Charlie alot for giving us an excuse to focus in more on her character. I personally went through several names like...Miss Marvel, Marvel Girl, Lady Marvel, Chick Marvel, Marvel Gal and more that were just ridiculous. Personally I could not come with anything that was as awesome as Kid Marvel for Freddy Freeman.

Quote:
Best scene of the issue, however was at the end. Loved the cameo from You-Know-Who at the gravesite!.

That scene plus the one involving Freddy and Mary, were two scenes that I was proud to have written. The scene you mentioned was written months ago...many months ago, like back in November of 2008. Problem was I wrote most of the scenes separate and I lost the file. So that scene was originally written alot longer than it was. But I'm happy that the short scene still had some impact. So I'm happy that you enjoyed that scene.

Quote:
Cover was fantastic. You just keep getting better and better 'Chief!

Thanks...I'm getting more satisfied with my poor skills at CS3. Wait till next month...when Caesar is the center of the cover...whoops.

Quote:
Five star return!

That is the ultimate compliment, thnk you Dave.

Yes Charlie...Mischief thanks you. During the coming months, the Big Red Cheese will be 'away', handling his business in DC2 Nemesis. Please read the issue and I hope you can see why I truly thank you.

WOO HOO!!!

YEAH!!!!

Now this is how you come back after some time away. With both guns blazing! Giving the reader a solid, well paced, and well executed character piece that makes you want to scream for more.

It wasn't until I was finished that I realized how little Captain Marvel is actually in this, and how little it really mattered to me. I was sucked right into everyone's story - though Isis really topped the list for me. I can't wait to read more of her. MORE, I beg of you! Oh Mighty Isis!

Really, this annual packed one heck of a punch. I'm sorry it took me so long to read it, but I'm really glad I didn't miss out.

5 stars from me as well. Bravo!!! :D

I know that I speak for Krystaledragon when I say thank you for the comments and the five stars. The Isis part was all Krystale. She took the idea that was put before her and ran with it. The extent of the research that she does is amazing. And Brian...Isis story is far from being over...so stay tune.

And stuff that was laid down back in Shazam! #7 will be coming to the fore front soon. And more cameos.

Issue #15 will be out soon.
